Updated Competition Table
Here is an updated competition table to reflect the new horses that have been added recently. The animals are in alphabetical order. The tack that best suits the animal is also listed. The higher the number, the better the
horse does in that competition. For example, a 6 means that competition works the
horse's top 3 skills and a 0 or 1 means it works few or none of the top three skills.
Check out the key at the bottom of the list if you don't recognize the codes.
The key at the bottom is also color coded so that you can quickly find horses that are proficient in that competition.
Interesting side note: The Holsteiner, Shetland and Trakehner have no competition that works all three of their top skills and the English Trot competition does not work any horse's top three skills.

First, overall this is a GREAT site and guide. However, I think your wrong about the Standardbred being best in western comps and no horse being good in trot? The Standardbred is a wonderful English trot horse. It always the bred of horse that wins top spots in prix trot, even if it may not be perfectly suited to it. I guess one breed has to be better than the rest at trot. I have a few Standardbred horses that have won 50+ rosettes in trot - these were high GP (cost 1-2 passes), but not even skiller price/grade. Having the new VIP, I was able to switch to western to look at comps and there was not a single rosette comp for just the Standardbred available.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment. The calculations for the competitions are objective based on the breed's skill. The list is for the competitions that match the horse's top three skills and the fastest way to bold a horse. Entering any competition does not guarantee winning as it depends on the other horses entering the competition as to where your horse will place.
DeleteThis is a really cool site, keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteYou might want to put trot on here in case, but overall, I liked how you put the new breeds on here :)
