The Safe Haven Debate

There is a great debate among Howrse members about the Safe Haven.  There are some who believe it is a bad place where horses are sent to suffer and die.  This is not Howrse's stance and not my belief.  I believe that the Safe Haven is exactly as the name implies, a safe haven.  A place where horses go to retire and live in peace and harmony with all of their needs and wants met.  Here is Howrse's official explanation of the Safe Haven, "It's a refuge for horses. Horses and ponies staying there get to live it up far from the hubbub of the competitive world."  If you want to continue to 'rescue' horses from safe haven that is your perogative and there is nothing wrong with that but don't think you are rescuing them from a horrible fate.
